HOOKERS Screening Saturday, October 6, 2007 at 9:00pm

Film Festival Wednesdays starts off with the 2007 Bare Bones Script 2 Screen International Film Festival. This event began today and runs through Sunday, October 7, 2007. It is taking place in Tulsa, Oklahoma and features a healthy (and maybe unhealthy, depending on what you go to see with your children) mixture of short movies, conferences and feature films. Events at the McKinley Elementary School and Glenpool High School today will help to start the entertainment off right by including young people in these festivities. This year’s lineup includes PENDULUM, a short film about maternal depression. If you are a mother or know women with children, this would be a good film to see.

FORFEIT Screening Friday, October 5, 2007 at 9:30pm

This film has been categorized on the film festival website as a tragedy. Therefore, it would be safe to expect a dramatic story. If you are traveling with teen boys and are looking for something that is less of a chick flick, FORFEIT may be more suitable. Judging by the posters and storylines, PENDULUM and FORFEIT appear to be worth checking out at the 2007 Bare Bones Script 2 Screen International Film Festival. The comedy film HOT FLASH HANNAH seems to be something that will deliver many laughs for both male and female movie fans.

There are over 30 films being screening at this film festival. Therefore, you will surely find something entertaining, if not a dozen films. There is also a music video category, which has always proved to be worth watching. These are entertaining and sometimes very humorous. The lengthy short film HOOKERS will be screening at this film festival as well. It was in production during last year, so it should be exciting to see the end result.

HOOKERS has received lots of buzz among the Oklahoma film community and throughout the country for months. While you may be thinking that this film is a sentimental drama that will last forever until it makes you cry or vomit, think again. HOOKERS is a comedy film. The description states that a young housewife needs some hookers to help her out in a jam. That sounds like something straight off of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, so it should be very entertaining. This is especially since the average citizen wouldn’t seek help from hookers in real life. What situation would cause someone to need hookers for help? You have to go and see the movie to find out!

Many Film Events features more entertainment than movies and the 2007 Bare Bones Script 2 Screen International Film Festival is among them. Several musicians and artists will be performing including Janet Mason, BlackBottom Boyz, and Ronnie Dean. Comedian, Susan Dale will also be sharing some great jokes to add to the laughs from this film festival’s lineup of movies.

Today was just the beginning, as the fun officially kicks off tomorrow. A VIP Reception takes place tomorrow on the 4th, with a special focus on today’s youth. This is one of the many wonderful aspects of the Bare Bones Script 2 Screen International Film Festival. Young filmmakers are everywhere and should be supported, as they also create great films. An episodic TV Series titled “The Russian Redneck” seems like it will be likable. This series will also be screening at the 2007 Bare Bones Script 2 Screen International Film Festival.

The schedule of events ticket information and film screenings can be found at the Bare Bones Script 2 Screen International Film Festival website. Check out some cool movies and support your local independent filmmakers!
