Famed actor, Jet Li is getting a record-breaking $13 million paycheck for his latest movie, The Warlords.
The payment comes in 100 million yuan which is equivalent to $13 million (or $15 million depending on which new report you read...an australian news page has it at $15 million while Yahoo has it at $13 mil) in American dollars. The Warlords director Peter Chan stated that Li is a guarantee for global sales. Jet Li's paycheck is a record for an actor in a Chinese-language film. 44 year-old Li is a champion in the field of martial arts and has starred in many action related English-language films including Romeo Must Die, The One, Lethal Weapon 4 and Cradle to the Grave.
I wouldn't be complaining if I had his paycheck.
